Join us for RSR’s best fundraising event of the year! This is a wonderful play, a benefit performance by NCRT for our organization.
We always have a great time, and it’s a special performance because your RSR volunteers add a “Glimpse of Audio Description” about 10 minutes before the play begins. The audience will hear a description of the the theatre and set, and then the cast will introduce themselves, in character.
Join us for a reception with cast members after the play, hosted by RSR.
Tickets are $25 and proceeds go directly toward Reading Service of the Redwoods. For ticket reservations, call 707-839-3768 or 707-442-NCRT.
Friday, September 16 at 8PM (7:50 for Audio Description, doors open at 7:20)

Remember Old-fashioned Radio Dramas?
Imagine a joyous upcoming holiday season, add the beloved story told in “It’s a Wonderful Life,” but this year, experience it with your friends and neighbors as an old-fashioned, on-stage live radio play!
Reading Service of the Redwoods’ yearly fundraiser, with the help of North Coast Repertory Theatre, will be “It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play,” adapted by Joe Landry and directed by Kate Haley—complete with on-stage sound effects with dozens of characters played by only five actors.
Fellow fans of radio drama will know that we will experience the action through our ears. The talented actors and sound effect artists will tell the story with their voices and the sounds they provide.
Join us for this special benefit performance.

Today is the last day of National Newspaper Week 2014. RSR celebrates our local newspapers! We appreciate them, and we make them accessible to those who feel the same, but can no longer read them. Our volunteers broadcast the readings of SIX local newspapers.
Volunteer readers are invited to Golden Harvest Cafe, Arcata, 1062 G Street for a chat and a no-host lunch: Saturday, October 11 at 11:30 a.m.
Send us an email with questions or to RSVP if you haven’t already notified Doug.
